For the time being, we are including in our list those that we have
personally witnessed, heard or read about most often or found to be most
publicized, in alphabetical and chronological order. The information in this
section represents our opinions on this subject as opposed to facts that have been scientifically documented.
Counterfeit large formats have been more common than 750's or smaller formats when it comes to
older bottles. Most of the wines listed below are found in magnum formats
when counterfeit, although we have seen some even in Imperial format.
This list is simply a set of opinions and is not meant to be a scientific accounting of all counterfeits. Such an accounting is impossible due to the clandestine nature of the problem.
